Manchester Metropolitan University Competition – Investment opportunity for business brains of tomorrow

Kirstin:   Fantastic opportunity for budding MMU entrepreneurs.  Students based in Manchester will be given the opportunity to showcase their business talent and win £2,500 worth of investment through #HillarysStartUp.  The #HillarysStartUp competition has been set up by leading made-to-measure blinds specialist Hillarys in association with Manchester Metropolitan University and media agency Carat Manchester, and is in place to find the business talent of the future.

Entrants are required to come up with a unique business proposal, with six finalists being chosen to pitch their idea in full to a panel of industry experts on 14 June at the culmination of MMU’s Entrepreneurs’ Week.

Open to university students based in Manchester, it’s all about coming up with a great business proposal and really selling your idea. Those looking to enter will need to provide a short description of their business concept, but most importantly a three minute video detailing their proposal in full.  Those looking to enter need to do so by 27 May 2013, uploading their three minute video and providing a short description of their business proposal. Once the video has been reviewed, successful applicants will receive a link to their video hosted on the Hillarys site.
